Gratuities
The Club does not include a gratuity automatically on food and beverage charges or other purchases, and thus encourages members to add appropriate gratuities to their food and beverage charges. Members should feel free to provide a gratuity or "tip" to other club employees such as bag room and locker room attendants when they feel it is appropriate. The Club reserves the right to automatically include a stipulated minimum gratuity to member's food and beverage charges in certain instances including, but not limited to, tickets that members "abandon" without closing or signing, and charges applying to parties of 8 or more people.
It is customary, in November, for the Club to send a letter to members providing members the opportunity to charge to the Club account a contribution to a holiday fund administered by the Club for distribution to regular Club employees in December. Any such charged contribution is purely voluntary on the member's part and is offered to members purely as an alternative to making similar gestures to employees individually. All such contributions are distributed to employees.
Membership Correspondence
Each member is responsible for notifying the Club, in writing, of his or her mailing address and any changes thereto, to which the member wishes all notices and statements from the Club to be sent. A member shall be deemed to have received mailings from the Club ten (10) days after they have been mailed to the address on file with the Club. The failure of a member to promptly notify the Club of a change in such member's address is not sufficient reason for the waiver of late fees or other charges accrued to such member's account. The official address for correspondence with the Club is:
Canebrake Country Club
#1 Cane Drive
Hattiesburg, MS 39402
