Canebrake is a spectacular and memorable par-71 golf course designed by Jerry Pate that meanders through the undulating Mississippi woodlands. The fairways are wide, and the Champion Dwarf Bermuda grass greens are quick and true.

The front nine features a links-style design traversing through open fairways with generous landing areas. The backside of the course is more of a parkland-style, meandering through towering pine trees. Canebrake is recognized by the Mississippi Golf Association, The Mississippi Women’s Golf Association and the USGA as a premier facility. Each of these groups has hosted an event at Canebrake Country Club.

Leagues & Tournaments
At Canebrake, Member’s enjoy friendly competition among our various Golf Associations and enjoy Club-hosted tournaments such as the annual Member-Guest Tournament, the Founder’s Cup and other Championship events for Men, Ladies and Juniors.
The Intraclub Leagues also provide exciting golf tournaments where Members will play challenging rounds and meet fellow Members. In addition, our Golf Pros plan fun tournaments and events throughout the year.

Youth Golf
Youth golf at Canebrake is designed to make learning the game of Golf fun and memorable for young golfers of all skill levels. Students are taught creative methods of instruction from our staff of experienced golf professionals in a structured, yet relaxed, fun-filled environment. Youth are tested quarterly so they can be placed into the correct skill level.
Pro Shop
Canebrake’s Golf Pro Shop offers the latest brands and cutting-edge equipment to keep you up to date on the latest trends and technology. Canebrake also offers bag storage, club fittings and locker rental services. Our experienced staff can also help you with special orders and repairs. In addition, the Canebrake team makes it easy to keep an accurate account of all Member’s golf handicap through the GHIN online system.
Meet Our Golf Pro
Kyle Ramey was born and raised in Paducah, KY. He made his way to Mississippi in 2004 where he played collegiately at Southern Miss, lettering 4 times and majoring in Sports Management. Before becoming the head professional at Canebrake, Kyle was the Head Professional at Windance Country Club in Gulfport, MS for 5 years. Teaching and growing the game for all ages, is one of his main passions. Kyle’s professional accomplishments are winning the 2017, 2019 & 2021 Gulf States PGA Player of the Year; 2016 & 2019 Gulf States Section Championship, and competing in three PGA tour events. Though he is thankful for the path that his professional career has taken him, his greatest accomplishments is his family.
